17-year-old secondary school girl accepts marriage proposal from her boyfriend, netizens react

Netizens were thrown into pandemonium after a video of a secondary school girl accepting a marriage proposal from her boyfriend.

In the video circulating online, the young man could be seen going on one knee at a hotel while his girlfriend’s friend who laughed at the couple urged her to say yes.

The person who seemed to be recording was a friend of the young man who joined in to urge the young girl to accept his proposal. After the young girl accepted the proposal, the young man lifted her up in an embrace and locked lips with her.

The guy’s age was not disclosed which was a major cause of concern for netizens. They emphasized that the young girl still had education and other aspects of her life to think about.

The man refused to go on one his knee to ask his girlfriend to marry him, as against what social media terms the norms.

While proposing, the young man stood his ground and didn’t bow to the conventional pressure of kneeling before fitting the ring into his girlfriend’s hands.
