Aaron Rodgers completely denies ‘bong speculation’ on Jets’ sidelines, clarifies liquor mishap

Aaron Rodgers was recently caught in 4K with what appeared to be a glass bong. The quarterback for the New York Jets was on the sidelines of the team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He was speaking to his friend Hugh Coles. and after their conversation; he dapped him up before heading to pick up a grey box.

Here’s where it got interesting. Rodgers’ hand slipped and the box fumbled, revealing a bong-shaped bottle that many believe the QB uses to smoke weed.

However, Aaron Rodgers clarified the whole situation on The Pat McAfee Show and explained the entire situation.

That was not a bong, first of all.

The QB stated, that he then went on to give a shout-out to Hugh Coles, who plays George McFly in the Broadway play of Back to the Future.

He went on to add that the box contained a bottle, which was a gift to him from his friend John Sutcliffe, who happens to be the ESPN Deportes sideline reporter and has “tried to interview me in Spanish a few times with some funny results.” He attempted to dap him up, but it did not go as well.

Rodgers continued,

I dap him up, it's partly his fault because I was walking off the field with my Maestro Dobel tequila that John Sutcliffe gives me every time he sees me on 'Monday Night Football.'

The box had a bottle of Maestro Dobel tequila in it, and it does check out. The brand sells their tequila in an iconic hourglass-shaped bottle, which is pretty similar to a bong and hence; it is easy to get confused between the two.

The unfortunate part was that when Aaron Rodgers dropped the box, the bottle tipped over and nearly half of the contents spilled over. It was not hard to assume that it was a bong in there given that Rodgers has been open about his use of psychedelics in the past. It was good that the quarterback cleared things out.
