Fort Wayne’s Addison Agen, 16, avoided elimination Tuesday, becoming one of the show's eight semifinalists.

You saw it right here on Channel 13, as two contestants were eliminated from "The Voice."

Fort Wayne’s Addison Agen was not one of them.

Agen gave a relieved smile as it was announced she was going on to the next round.

"Addison Agen, you did it! Congratulations, you're moving on."

Agen later took to Twitter to give her thanks to everyone who voted.

Top 8 what a dream! One of the best feelings in the world and I couldn’t have experienced it without you all! I LOVE YOU SO MUCV

She may have had a hunch she'd be moving on after her Monday performance of Britney Spears' "Lucky" reached no. 5 on the iTunes charts.

"I'm blown away by all the love I've been given week after week. It's so amazing and it's pretty emotional, just to be surrounded with such great people and that I get to spend another week with these people and doing what I love," Agen said after advancing. "It's such a dream and an honor to be where I'm standing today."

Eyewitness News spoke with Addison's mother, Kristen, who told us Addison would sing three times the next time she performs on Monday.

"That's where the intensity level has gone up," Kristen said. She also shared some insight on how Addison prepares for each week's show. "She works with Adam Levine and he has given her a song this morning. He does have a tendency to change them. In fact, they're so used to it they've scheduled Addison for two meetings with Adam because they know that he probably will change his mind."

Only four of the eight remaining singers will make it to the finals.
