Afternoon Snack: DIY Grape Soda

A lot of the grape sodas that you buy at the store are cans of bubbly purple sugar water with chemicals thrown in--grapes? What grapes? Which is a bummer, because grapes (and their juice) boast some nice health benefits...
One study found that grape juice has the highest concentrated levels of antioxidants of all fruit juices, making it a heart-healthy sipping choice. And another just-released study found that eating grapes regularly may help prevent age-related macular degeneration--keeping your eyes sharper, longer.
I totally adore this recipe for Fresh Grape Soda from Eating Well--you make your own grape juice (so you know there's no sugar or weird stuff added) and add it to seltzer with a few tablespoons of lemon juice. (The recipe also suggests 2 tablespoons of honey if you're using tart grapes and you don't want a semi-permanent pucker face.)
Totally refreshing! What's your afternoon snack today? Are you a fan of the grape?
