Afternoon Snack: Graham Crackers With Almond Butter

Updated on March 29, 2026
What do you get when you take two low-fat graham cracker sheets and top them with half a tablespoon of nutrient-packed almond butter?
Hmm, not the world's funniest riddle, huh? But the answer is one the tastiest snacks I know. Almond butter is packed with calcium, magnesium, folic acid, potassium, and vitamin E, and is low in saturated fat--and the protein in it will help keep your belly feeling full till dinnertime. Two full low-fat graham cracker sheets (eight little crackers if you broke them along the dotted lines) topped with almond butter ring in at about 170 calories, with 6.5 g fat and 3 g protein.
Not an almond butter fan? You could also spread on some peanut butter (but steer clear of certain kinds from Skippy, which were just recalled due to possible salmonella contamination--eep! Get info about which jars you should pitch here).
Do you like almond butter? Graham crackers? What's on your afternoon snack plate today?
