Who is Bella Esmeralda?

Bella Esmeralda is the youngest daughter of ace Portuguese football player, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Spanish model-cum-influencer, Georgina Rodriguez. Esmeralda was born on April 18, 2022, in Manchester, United Kingdom.

This means Esmeralda has three nationalities – England, due to her birth; Portugal, courtesy of her father and Spain, courtesy of her mother. Esmeralda also has Argentine roots courtesy of her infamous maternal grandfather, Jorge Rodriguez.

Esmeralda is one year old. Her proud father, Ronaldo, marked her first birthday by posting a sweet snapshot of his daughter sitting on his lap.

“Parabéns pelo teu primeiro ano de vida, meu amor. O papá ama-te muito!🎂♥️😘,” the former Real Madrid star captioned the daddy-daughter photo, which translates into English as “Happy first year of life my love. Daddy loves you very much! 🎂♥️😘.”

In the photos, the Al-Nassr FC star was dressed casually in a white T-shirt and blue shorts, while Esmeralda sported a white lace-collared top, navy cardigan and grey leggings while sitting on her daddy’s lap. Her mother, Rodriguez, first shared the photo in February.

“Bella Esmeralda. That look, so strong and delicate, that God has given you. Love them,” Rodríguez captioned the post.

“Just like Dad. My love 🥰,” Ronaldo wrote in the comments section.

Esmeralda is not working since she is still a toddler.

However, her parents are super rich, particularly her dad. Ronaldo has an estimated net worth of $500 million, according to Goal. This makes him one of the biggest earners in football and sport in general. Ronaldo’s source of income includes football contracts, endorsement deals and business investments.

Rodriguez’s net worth has been estimated at $12 million, according to media reports.

Apart from her parents, Esmeralda has four siblings: Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Mateo Ronaldo, Eva Maria Dos Santos and Alana Martina Dos Santos Aveiro. Esmeralda’s paternal grandparents are Jose Denis Aveiro and Maria Dolores dos Santor Aveiro. Her father is the youngest of four siblings and they are Hugo dos Santos Aveiro, Elma dos Santos Aveiro and Katia Aveiro.

Esmeralda’s maternal grandfather, Jorge, was a notorious cocaine and cannabis kingpin who spent 10 years in jail. He served time in Spain for two offences. According to the Sun, Jorge was sentenced to 11 years in jail in 2003 for masterminding a failed plot to smuggle more than £100,000 worth of 83% pure cocaine from Spain to France.

He was released in 2008 and was sentenced again for smuggling £1 million of cannabis resin from Morocco to Spain with accomplices. Jorge was released in 2013 after he served two years in prison. However, he died in 2019 due to complications from a stroke. He was 70 years old. Esmeralda’s maternal grandmother, Ana Maria Hernandez, reportedly now lives in Italy. Her mother also has a sister named Ivana.

Esmeralda had a twin brother named Angel who passed away shortly after birth. The devastated parents posted the tragic news on social media on April 18, 2022.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” Ronaldo wrote. “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”

“We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you,” he concluded the post.

Cristiano Ronaldo, whose full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward and captains his national team. Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in the São Pedro parish of Funchal, which is the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira. He grew up in the nearby parish of Santo António.
