BLEACH Author Tite Kubo Redesigns Dragon Ball Volume Cover

Tite Kubo is a Japanese manga artist known for writing and illustrating the BLEACH manga. The series came to an end in 2016, and last month, a special Bleach chapter was released to commemorate manga’s 20th anniversary. Now, Kubo is back with one more surprise for Bleach and Dragon Ball fans.

In November 2024, Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball manga series will celebrate its 40th anniversary. And to commemorate the upcoming event, different manga creators would pick random Dragon Ball volumes and redesign their covers.

Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of the Naruto series, was the first mangaka to take part in the project. He redesigned the cover for Dragon Ball volume 11, and now, the legendary Tite Kubo has come forward to contribute.

Dragon Ball Super Gallery Project For 40th Anniversary

In July, Saikyo Jump announced the Dragon Ball Super Gallery project to commemorate the manga’s upcoming 40th anniversary. The project states that each month, a different manga artist would redesign one of the DB covers. And it already started with Saikyo Jump’s September Issue that was released on August 4th, 2021.

This project will go on for 42 months until September 2024, and by the end, there will be several Dragon Ball covers created by different mangakas.

Dragon Ball Volume Cover by BLEACH’s Creator

Interestingly, Tite Kubo picked Dragon Ball Volume 27 for the project. The cover flaunts the incredible art of Goku, Frieza, and Piccolo. Well, Kubo did an amazing job at redesigning each character on the cover. In case you’re wondering what the cover actually looks like; here you go, take a good look at it:

Of course, this cover is a surprise to both Bleach and Dragon Ball manga fans. Ever since Saikyo Jump announced the project, the community wanted Tite Kubo to redesign a DB Volume cover in Bleach style; well, everyone got what they wanted at long last.
