Burrel Chip Davis: Ex-cop 'joked' about Maegen Hall sex scandal, shared her explicit pics from phone

LA VERGNE, TENNESSEE: Court records have revealed that ex-chief of Tennessee Police Department, Burrel Chip Davis, joked about Maegan Hall’s sex scandal and shared explicit images of her to other officers.

The former chief shared the images of Hall on a burner phone he named 'Ole Boy,' according to court records obtained by the New York Post. These images were then circulated around the department. In a text exchange between him and officer Ty McGowan on October 25, 2022, Davis joked over a photo they shared of Hall allegedly taken by another sergeant, Lewis Powell, who was having an illicit affair with the married female officer who claims to be in an 'open-marriage', records show.

'He's on it again'

"Who dat?" Davis asked in a text. "Hall. Lewis," McGowan replied. "He's on it again," the chief replied. "He swears he ain’t," said McGowan. "Neither she nor her husband took that picture," Davis said. "She has a tight little a** tho," McGowan replied. "Yep," said Davis.

Then, on October 28, 2022, Davis and McGowan again discussed Hall’s affair with Powell. "I saved her for the last time," Davis wrote. "I wish I could tell her who she f***** can't do s*** for her"."I wish I could too," McGowan wrote back. "Then we both could play." "Can’t f*** Lewis tho cause the pics are," Davis responded, along with a flame emoji.

Maegen Hall's sex scandal

Maegen Hall, 26, was fired from her post after word went out that she had sexual encounters with six other police officers, including an alleged threesome with one officer and his wife. She also allegedly took off her top at a 'Girls Gone Wild'-themed hot tub party and performed oral sex on two officers while on duty.

The story began to unravel when Hall checked herself into a local hospital in December 2022 after having suicidal thoughts, according to her lawsuit. After this, the city officials received a tip about the situation.

In February, Hall filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against city chief Davis and officers McGowan and Powell, claiming she was "sexually groomed" by police officers on her all-male shift. Hall claims that she was sexualized by her fellow officers.

What happened to former chief Burrel Chip Davis?

After Hall's allegations, the former police chief was fired. He claimed that the allegations were wrong and pleaded ignorance when questioned as part of an internal investigation. But due to the strong evidence that the court gathered, he had no choice but to come clean and admit his mistakes.The internal investigation later concluded that Davis not only knew of the scandal brewing in his ranks but also misled the investigation.

Besides, the chief, officers, Powell and McGowan were fired over the scandal as were police officer Juan Lugo-Perez and detective Seneca Shields. Three other officers - Patrick Magliocco, Larry Holladay, and Gavin Schoeberl, were suspended.
