Circle Centre Mall announced Thursday what will become of the former Carson's space.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Circle Centre Mall announced Thursday what will become of the former Carson's space.

The second and third stories of the space at the corner of Washington and Meridian Streets will be leased as high quality office space. The area is more than 90,000 square feet in addition to signage opportunities and plenty of parking nearby at the busy intersection.

Real estate firm CBRE will begin leasing initiatives immediately. Senior Vice President John Vandenbark said initial interest in the space has been strong.

Circle Centre Mall Manager Nick Strause says Indianapolis' growth begets a need for more office space downtown.

"We're excited to build on the success we've had with converting the south-end space into corporate headquarters with vibrant dining and entertainment on the street level," Strause said.
