Did Britney Spears cheat on Sam Asghari? Actor's fans slam 'gold digger' claims as he files for divorce

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: and her husband, Sam Asghari, have reportedly split after being married for a year. Sources confirmed to that couple, who seemed inseperable, were no longer together. 

Asghari reportedly filed for divorce on Wednesday, August 16, mere hours after news broke that the couple were calling it quits.

Asghari reportedly cited "irreconcilable differences" and sought spousal support from the singer as well as legal fees, according to TMZ. He specified the separation date as July 28, per ET. 

Did Britney Spears cheat on Sam Asghari?

Asghari, 29, and Spears, 41, have reportedly been living apart for a while, which has fueled rumors that their relationship was in trouble. Sources told TMZ, the couple divorced because of "a nuclear argument that involve[d] allegations of cheating."

Insiders reportedly said that Asghari had confronted the 'Toxic' singer, alleging she had been unfaithful to him.

Several of Spears' followers claimed Asghari was only in it for the money and called him a "gold digger."

However, other social media users, denied the accusations by tweeting in support of Asghari. Some even analyzed Spears' previous relationship and claimed that she allegedly "cheated on Justin Timberlake and even co-wrote a song to confirm it."
