In a recent exchange, Twitter user, Ryan, claimed that Kick had terminated Ross' $180 million contract because of his frequent disappearances over the previous two months. The fan wrote, "After disappearing for almost week for the 5th time in the last 2 months, Kick has officially TERMINATED Adin Ross's $180 million contract." He further tweeted, pleading with Ross to begin his stream in the hopes that it would push him to resume, "Hopefully this scares him into streaming, tell that kid to stream."

This sparked a Twitter drama, with other users chiming in on the situation. When Ross became aware of the commotion, he was puzzled and questioned his fan's claim with a simple, "Really, dude?"
