Edge inprivate window - returning/switching

hopefully asking in right place. Cant find answers online.

When using the Edge browers, using InPrivate mode,
occasionally if i hit B button, it will exit the browser & go back to Home screen.
If i bring up Edge again, it will be in normal mode.
If i hit "new InPrivate window" it will say in the right corner "InPrivate (2)".

So it obviously isnt closing the browser, nor wiping the inPrivate tabs, but I cannot return to those tabs.
Clicking the "InPrivate (2)", only give 1 option. "Close InPrivate Windows".

Is there a way to return to them?
Its insanely annoying if have multiple tabs open, then forced to start over.
