Fans love 'petty' Eagles post that has subtle dig at Taylor Swift after Philadelphia win

The Philadelphia Eagles won a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.

And the Eagles won the social media game.

Within hours of Philly's 21-17 road victory on Tuesday, the team's official Instagram page posted a single image that sent shockwaves through the social world.

It was a picture of a friendship bracelet featuring Philly green and nine letters that said it all.

Eagles win.

Philadelphia, Kansas City, NFL and Taylor Swift fans all immediately knew what the image meant.

Swift, a pop music superstar, is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift has also helped make friendship bracelets popular again.

A friendship bracelet was at the beginning of a relationship that became bigger than the NFL during the start of the 2023 season.

"In our winning era" was also added to the Eagles' post, potentially highlighting Jason Kelce earning his first NFL win over his younger brother, Travis.

It was a brilliant move by the Eagles and a perfect way to celebrate a tough victory over a team that just happens to feature Swift's boyfriend.

"UTTERLY LIVING FOR THIS," one fan posted in all caps.

"Lol," another said.

"Philly = petty," said a third poster, while a fourth praised the person who posted it. "Give the admin a raise," was the comment.

A fifth said: "Petty! Here for it! Fly eagles fly," while there were memes featuring clapping fans.

"Petty at its best!" came another. "Nobody like us and we don’t care."

Philly was the clear winner on Tuesday, on the field and on the battleground also known as social media.

It was Eagles 1, Swift 0 in the end.

Maybe they'll meet again in Super Bowl LVIII.
