Rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo being inside a submarine that has gone missing has been missing since the start of the week has gone viral on Thursday. Although the superstar was not inside, the situation is a result of Twitter users joking about the otherwise grave circumstance.
Twitter users thought of a scenario in which the football icon was actually Cristiano Ronaldo stuck in the submarine. This might have been due to the reports that the submarine was mainly occupied by billionaires. Thus people think it to be something mostly wealthy men do.
The five-person submarine, The Titan, used to take people underwater to explore the Titanic wreck and lost contact with its mothership. It was on its third voyage and called The Titan. It’s the fourth day of search today and time is running out for the people inside to make it out alive. Among the people stuck inside are a British adventurer, a French diver, a Pakistani father and son, and the founder of OceanGate Expeditions, the company that operated the tour to the Titanic wreckage.
The former Manchester United player is said to be one of the wealthiest sportsmen in the world. His name has been in numerous Forbes lists for the richest sportsperson in the world. Thus, it seems likely for people to think about this scenario if this is the reason.
It could also be people thinking about what they would do if their loved ones were on the submarine. The Real Madrid legend is one of the most loved footballers in the world. He has millions of followers around the world who him no matter what. That could be the reason for his fans to create this scenario where they could go and save their idol’s life.
With the officials losing time to rescue the submarine, fans discussed what they’d do if their idol was in it. Some claimed that they’d dive into the ocean to rescue the Portugal striker.
