When you equip an Emblem Ring on a unit, you imbue them with high-powered active and passive skills. These abilities can quickly turn the fortunes in battle, eliminating foes or saving your allies from falling. Combat in Fire Emblem Engage is best completed by leveraging these skills and using them to your advantage.

Each Emblem Ring has its own set of provided skills, but they are not all created equal. The passive skills on this list are the best of the bunch and should be prioritized in battle. Find the best units to equip them on and take them into battle with enhanced powers to dominate the battlefield.
10 Eirika - Lunar Brace
When equipping Eirika’s Emblem Ring on a physical damage dealer, Lunar Brace deals bonus damage from attacks. Equal to 20% of the foe's Def stat, Lunar Brace makes your frontline units able to clear the road easier. Armored units are always vulnerable to magic damage, but this Emblem skill helps you cut down tanks with your own.
While you normally should attack high Def enemies with mages, Eirika’s Emblem Ring allows for more options. If you have a high physical damage frontline unit like Vander, Alfred, or Anna, you can equip them with Lunar Brace and watch them melt other tanks away.
9 Lyn - Alacrity
Ensuring that all of your attacks land is a big advantage in the battle. When a unit initiates combat while wearing Lyn’s Emblem Ring, follow-up attacks occur before the foe counterattacks. Lyn’s skill Alacrity requires a 9 Spd or more advantage over the foe you’re striking, so it is best equipped on a fast unit.
If a low HP unit is eliminated before it’s able to execute all of its attacks, your team has missed out on potential damage and lost an ally. Make sure to equip Lyn’s Emblem Ring on a unit that has high Spd so that they can take advantage of this perk.
8 Corrin - Dreadful Aura
When you engage in combat, you will need high HP units to tank the frontline and soak up incoming damage. When the enemy bypasses your frontline and flanks your vulnerable allies, it can get messy. If you equip a frontliner with Corrin’s Emblem Ring, you can avoid a lot of these situations.
Dreadful Aura prevents foes from moving for 1 turn after they are attacked. In addition, all foes within 1 space of the affected enemy are also rooted. When you can prevent your enemy from changing their formation, you have the advantage on the battlefield.
7 Ike - Laguz Friend
If you equip a unit with Ike’s Emblem Ring, it can stay on the frontline much longer by taking 50% less damage from Laguz Friend. However, this Emblem skill also lowers the units Avo to 0, making them unable to avoid an attack.

Although there are both pros and cons, Laguz Friend’s reduction of 50% damage far outweighs its negative effect. Ike’s Emblem Ring should be equipped on a frontliner if you want to stay there. Whether you’re using Laguz Friend on a low HP unit or a tank, it provides massive protection.
6 Micaiah - Augment
Most healing in Fire Emblem Engage comes from staves that units can wield on the battlefield. Staves have a radius and area of effect that they impact, both of which are buffed by Augment. Micaiah’s Emblem Ring is best paired with a unit that often uses staves to heal.
When equipped with Augment, the unit has a +5 range and +1 area of effect with all staves. In addition to healing, staves can also teleport or break units and also alter the terrain. Having extra range and area of effect on these items can greatly benefit these abilities and help you secure victory.
5 Lucina - Dual Strike
Backup units join in on skirmishes by Chain Attacking foes that are attacked by an ally. This mechanic contributes to a lot of extra damage, passively stacking up attacks from other units' turns. When you equip a unit with Luncina’s Emblem Ring, the skill Dual Strike adds the ability to chain attack anyone.
Having another Backup unit in your lineup is always welcomed in combat. Dual Strike provides the benefit of an additional Backup unit and is even more powerful on your highest-damage unit.
4 Roy - Hold Out
The skill Hold Out provides a unit with the fortitude to survive death when an attack would bring it below 0 HP. Roy’s passive Emblem skill Hold Out allows a unit to survive all attacks, so long as they started the round with at least 30% of their max HP.

When placed on a Cavalry or Armored unit, Hold Out provides the unit with the freedom to charge into battle. As long as you keep the unit above 30% HP at the end of every turn, it will tank all incoming damage.
3 Celica - Holy Stance
Any unit wearing Celica’s Emblem Ring returns 10% of damage taken back at a Corrupted attacker. Celica is a perfect Emblem Ring to have on a frontline unit like an Armored or Cavalry class. These units tend to take a lot of damage and, with Holy Stace, can make use of this incoming damage.
The higher the health pool and defensive stats a unit have, the more value Holy Stance will provide. With Celica’s Emblem Ring equipped, your tank can jump into battle and soften up the enemy team before others arrive.
2 Sigurd - Momentum
Some units in Fire Emblem Engage are best played by utilizing their movement range and quickly closing the gap on their foes. With Momentum, units leverage their travel distance by adding Atk+1 to their first attack for each space moved that turn.
Sigurd’s Emblem Ring grants a maximum of Atk+10 to units, making their attacks potentially devastating. On Covert and mounted units, you’ll be able to sit back before diving into the fray and dealing bonus damage. This can be an incredibly effective and safe strategy to push forward on the battlefield.
1 Marth - Divine Speed
Marth’s Emblem skill Divine Speed stands well above the others, as it is incredibly powerful in battle. Units wearing Marth’s Emblem Ring gain an extra attack at 50% damage when striking a foe in combat. If the Divine Dragon Alear is wearing the ring, they recover HP for each point of damage done with the attack.
Having another swing at a foe can often mean the difference between leaving them alive and removing them from the battlefield. On any attacking unit, this effect will add a tremendous amount of damage and can cause them to 1-shot enemies on a regular basis.
