God Of War Ragnarok: All Yggdrasil Rift Locations

God of War Ragnarok sees Kratos as he tries to start Ragnarok and destroy Odin and his land of Asgard. Kratos works with many different people trying to start the prophecy and finally ride the Nine Worlds of Odin.

Considering this is happening, it makes sense that one quest has Kratos close Yggdrasil Rifts that have begun to pop up around the different areas of the game. These Rifts are optional, but give you some pretty great rewards.
What Are Yggdrasil Rifts?
These rifts contain some powerful enemies that Kratos can destroy for rare materials and rewards. These rifts are required if you want to complete the Favour (or optional side quest) "The Lost Lindwyrms." There are a total of 15 Rifts in all, and each one contains some pretty fun and challenging enemies.

Alfheim
There is only one Yggdrasil Rift located within Alfheim.
The Forbidden Sands
The first Yggdrasil Rift is located within the Forbidden Sands area of Alfheim. Travel to the area where you completed the quest entitled "The Reckoning." Once there, head north until you see a rock you can use your grappling hook on. Then you will see a wall that can be smashed. Smashing it leads you to a path. Follow that path and find the Yggdrasil Rift.

Midgard
There are three Yggdrasil Rifts located in Midgard.
Lake Of Nine
Head to the area you completed the quest "Hunting for Solace." There is a certain area where you lifted a bridge up so that you could make it across to Tyr's Temple. Across the bridge, there are two sets of stairs. The set to the left leads you to this rift.
Shores Of Nine 1 & 2
Travel to Tyr's Temple and head north within the Shores of Nine. You will see a path that you can travel. Eventually, you will see a fork in the path. Take the left side of this fork. It takes you directly to the first rift. After you complete that rift, head to the elevator in front of you. Take that elevator up where the second rift is located.

Svartalfheim
Svartalfheim contains 7 of the 15 Yggdrasil Rifts.
Alberich Hollow
Travel to the area where you defeated Ormstunga. From there go straight and look for the ledge you can climb up. There, you will find the rift.
Alberich Island
You will destroy one of Odin's Ravens during the "Forging Destiny" quest. From that area, go down the cliff and look for a rock formation that your spear can break. Once you do that, you will be able to use your grappling hook to reach the rift.
Dragon Beach
After you obtain the Draupnir Spear, travel to Dragon Beach. Use the spear in the Embed Point that is directly to your left. Once you climb it, you can use your grappling hook to cross the large gap. You will see a beam that you can crawl under, the Yggdrasil Rift is on the other side.
Myrkr Tunnels
During the quest "Forging Destiny," you will be in the Myrkr Tunnels area. You can find this rift after the second gate in the area.
The Applecore
You must complete the "Forging Destiny" quest for this. From the area on the map, you can find the Althjof Statue. There is an Embed Point to the right of this statue. This allows you to reach a new area. You can find the rift to your left in this new area.
The Forge 1
You must have the Draupnir Spear before obtaining this rift. Travel to Myrkr Tunnels and look for the Embed Point you need to climb. Once you climb it, you will see another one higher up you can climb. Climbing this one allows you to reach this rift.
The Forge 2
After meeting up with Freya, you can reach this area. Travel down from the top of The Forge. During that downward path, you will find an area you can squeeze through. On the other side of it, you will find this rift.

Vanaheim Rifts
There are 4 Yggdrasil Rifts within Vanaheim.
The Plains 1
Travel to the Eastern Plains Mystic Gateway. From there, you will see a ledge to your right. Climb it and follow the path that is to the right. You will find the rift once you reach the end of the cliff in this area.
The Plains 2
During the side quest "For Vanaheim," you will need to defeat The Crimson Dread. Travel to this area and head north. The rift is located there ontop of a small puddle.
The Plains 3
After you complete the quest that returns water to The Crater, you are able to obtain this. Take your boat and travel to this area on the map. Once there, you will see a small island that is west of the Crater Entrance Mystic Gateway. The rift is on this small island.
River Delta
During the quest "The Reckoning," you pass through the area of the River Delta. In this area, follow the river until you find a bridge that has been broken. Look for the stream flowing off the river to your right. This stream has a small place you can dock and follow a path. The path leads to the rift.
