Hilary Duff’s 10 Best (and Worst) Songs of All Time

Hilary Duff makes great pop music. This is just a fact. From her bubbly Lizzie McGuire tunes, like "I Can't Wait" and "What Dreams Are Made Of," to her most recent album, the glossy Breathe In. Breathe Out (2015), she has the sauce. Hil's music is catchy above all else, uncomplicated, and sunny—the literal definition of a bop. It's impossible not to sing along or swing your hips when "Come Clean" comes on. Not only are so many of her songs embroidered into the fabric of culture, they're also just expertly crafted tunes—thanks to both her personality on the mic and a team of top-notch producers (one of whom she's now married to).
Picking Hilary Duff's best songs was a challenge because of this. You know you have a discography of heavy-hitters when "What Dreams Are Made Of" doesn't make the cut. (I'm sorry! I agonized over it.) Of course, she has some misfires too, which I've also included, but the delightful songs far outshine—and outnumber—the dreary ones. Take a listen, below.
Best
10. “All About You”
Duff took a slight detour into country pop in 2014, releasing two back-to-back songs: "Chasing the Sun" and "All About You," the latter which sits nicely among her sparkliest jams. Guitar strums and all.
9. “So Yesterday”
Speaking of guitar strums, it would be criminal to not include Duff's debut single, a sugary-sweet interpretation of the pop-rock sound that dominated the early 2000s. Avril Lavigne lite, if you will.
