Hilda Baci reveals it cost huge sum of money to organize cook-a-thon

Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, has said that she spent a lot of money organising her 100-hour cook-a-thon to break the Guinness World Record.
The accomplished chef stated that she spent more than a year planning the event.
Hilda said this during an interview with Channels Television on the 22nd of May 2023.
According to the restaurateur, the idea came to her five years ago and the “size and scale” of the event cost her a lot of money.

“I have been overwhelmed with love in a very good way, I did not expect it to be this massive, but I am very grateful.
“It took us about six months to plan the actual event up to execution; it took a year and five months from when I decided this would happen, and the idea came to me five years ago,” she said.
When asked what it cost to organise the event, Hilda said: “Especially at that scale and size, it costs a lot of money; I cannot specifically give the figure”

Baci, a 27-year-old graduate, broke Indian Chef Lata Tondon’s cooking record of 87 hours and 45 minutes on Monday, May 15, 2023.
However, the Guinness World Record (GWR) team has yet to officially identify Hilda as the new world record holder since they need to analyse all of the data.
GWR said; “We are aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record”.
Baci began the four-day ‘cook-a-than on Thursday, May 11th at 4 pm at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos State, and ended on Monday, May 15th at 8 pm.
