Honest Taxi driver rewarded with big job after returning N438k forgotten by passenger

A Ghanaian taxi driver, Kwesi Ackon, has been rewarded with a job weeks after returning a huge sum of money left in his car by a passenger.
Ackon has now been employed by the Church of Pentecost General Headquarters in Accra, Ghana.
According to a publication on the church website, a letter of employment dated June 15, 2022, and signed by the Human Resource Manager, Elder Samuel Mantey Addo, was offered to Ackon.
The offer read in part: “The Church of Pentecost Headquarters hereby offers you employment as Driver Grade II…”

He resumed duties at the church on June 16.
Ackon is a member of the Church and fellowships at the Onyeametease Assembly in the Kokomlemle District in the La Area of the church.
The 36-year-old couldn’t hide his joy on his first day at work as he showed gratitude to God and the church for the gesture.
The honest former taxi driver also thanked Ghanaians for their kind donations in cash when the news of the his honesty went viral.
Ackon had won the heart of many few weeks ago after he returned a sum of 8,400 cedis, the equivalent of N437,000 to an old fishmonger he picked from the Mallam Atta Market in Accra to her residence at Teshie.
He had traced the woman to her home the day after to return the money he found.
His action drew attention from individuals, organisations as well as the Ghanaian Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who donated over N1million to him.
He also received a brand new Daewoo Matrix from Rev. Lawrence Tetteh.
In another news, a university student has narrated how his nurse girlfriend provides financial support for him in numerous ways, and he has decided to marry her.
The 300-level student of the University of Ghana, Legon, during an interview on Ride And Chat on Youtube, said the lady helped him with the sum of 3,500 cedis (₦182,000) to complete his fees in his first year in school.
The young man, a part-time Uber driver, disclosed that his girlfriend also chipped in some cash when he bought the car.
