The Pokemon GO Valentine’s Day event is here and Pokemon like Roselia, Gallade, Nidoking and Furfrou are appearing in Pokemon GO raids for the event, with people looking for a guide on their weakness, resistance and best counters.

The Poodle Pokemon Furfrou is heavily featured in an event once again for the first time since Fashion Week back in September last year.

It’s an important feature of the event as it is required for one of the two Collection Challenges that are ongoing, and one of the best ways to get a Furfrou is in raid battles.

So, to help you achieve that, here’s how to beat Furfrou in Pokemon GO Raids, including its weakness, resistance and the best counters for it.

Every Furfrou Weakness in Pokemon GO

Much like Lickitung and Miltank, who are both also appearing in raids during the event, Furfrou is a Normal-type Pokemon, leaving it with just a single weakness to Fighting-type moves.

Its single weakness is also accompanied by a single resistance, this time to Ghost-type moves. Definitely avoid using them!

Furfrou Raid Guide and Best Counters

As it only has one weakness, these are the best Mega Pokemon counters for Furfrou in Pokemon GO raid battles:

  • Mega Lopunny – Low Kick/Focus Blast
  • Mega Charizard Y – Wing Attack/Blast Burn
  • Mega Gengar – Sucker Punch/Focus Blast
  • Mega Charizard X – Fire Spin/Blast Burn
  • Mega Ampharos – Volt Switch/Focus Blast

Of those, the focus has to be on bringing Mega Lopunny with you as it will boost the power of all other super effective Fighting-type attacks.

Alongside those, these are the Pokemon you’ll want to consider bringing to Furfrou raid battles:

  • Lucario – Counter/Aura Sphere
  • Conkeldurr– Counter/Dynamic Punch
  • Machamp – Counter/Dynamic Punch
  • Breloom – Counter/Dynamic Punch
  • Blaziken – Counter/Focus Blast
  • Hariyama – Counter/Dynamic Punch
  • Heracross – Counter/Close Combat
  • Sirfetch’d – Counter/Close Combat
  • Terrakion – Zen Headbutt/Sacred Sword
  • Sawk – Low Kick/Focus Blast
  • Alakazam – Counter/Focus Blast

While these are the best options, as it’s only a one-star raid boss, you should be able to solo Furfrou easily with any strong Fighting-type counters.
