Here’s our guide to help you bring down and enter a Walking Mausoleum in Elden Ring.

What are Walking Mausoleums in Elden Ring?

Walking Mausoleums are giant tortoise-like creatures with a bell hanging from their belly, roaming the open-world in Elden Ring. The latest game by FromSoftware, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, has many fascinating NPCs and creatures like this wandering in the Lands Between open-world.

You can actually stop them in their tracks and enter the Mausoleum they carry. Inside the Mausoleum, you’ll be able to duplicate the rewards you obtained from slaying demi-god bosses.

How to stop a Walking Mausoleum in Elden Ring

It’s much more simple than it looks to bring them down and enter the Mausoleum. Approach the Walking Mausoleum while riding Torrent, and get near one of its feet. One of the back feet would be best. You’ll notice each feet has barnacles-like, white-looking chunks. You just need to attack these while being careful not to be stomped. You can take you time to do it and avoid taking any risks, as the Walking Mausoleum move quite slowly.

Furthermore, you don’t need to break all of the white chunks, as by the time you break one or two on the third feet, the Mausoleum should go down. You can enter it through a door on the front site of the creature.

How to enter Walking Mausoleums without weak points

It’s also possible however to encounter a Walking Mausoleum that won’t have these barnacles-looking weak points. There’s a Walking Mausoleum like this roaming the northeast part of the swamp in the Liurna of the Lakes region. If you find one of these, then there will be a Spirit Jump nearby, which will allow you to directly jump on the walking Mausoleum with Torrent.
