A Missouri man, Mark Radetic, went viral last week after he was photographed at the PGA Championship. While watching Tiger Woods attempt to make a shot in the second round of the PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was photographed holding an Ultra beer can and watching the shot unfold, while everyone surrounding him was holding their phones. It is truly a spectacular picture.

He has earned himself a free beer from the company as well as his own merchandise. Radetic was interviewed recently about the incident in St. Louis. “It really took off because everybody was on their cam except me, and I was holding Michelob Ultra. They said they want to do an ad campaign around it. Ultra has offered to give me, as they said, copious amounts of Ultra”.

In today’s world, everyone is obsessed with documenting everything, and the photo of Radetic is simply a beautiful image of simply enjoying the moment, and it seemed to resonate with the public. Michelob Ultra of course quickly capitalized on the viral moment by creating merchandise of the man who just wanted to enjoy a round of golf.

On Thursday, the company continued to capitalise on it, posting two potential limited edition beer cans with a stylized version of Radetic on Twitter. “It’s been crazy,” Radetic told The 73rd Hole podcast, a prominent podcast about golf. “It’s been absolutely crazy. Never in my wildest dreams did I think, standing here, watching Tiger Woods hit a shot and me holding a beer, that would turn into this,” he said.

It’s been a lot of fun. It’s been crazy”. Radetic told the podcast that he was simply ‘living in the moment’. “I’ll be honest with you, I’m not very good with my phone, the video and stuff… And was the say, ‘live in the moment’. I wanted to watch him hit the ball because it was a tough second shot,” Radetic said. “I put my phone down and held onto my beer”.
