According to reports, Dortmund has offered to cover only a third of Sancho’s £300,000-a-week wages during the loan period.
Consequently, United would need to cover the remaining amount, resulting in a total payout of £5.2 million (€5.9m/$6.5m) to Sancho for the duration of his loan spell, despite him playing for another team while Dortmund will pay 2.6 million pounds for six months.

Dortmund’s reluctance to pay Sancho’s full wages stems from concerns about upsetting the team’s wage structure, with Niklas Sule currently being the highest earner at £166,000 a week.
United may not be thrilled with Dortmund’s limited financial contribution but could find themselves compelled to accept the offer as a means to offload Sancho. The winger has been sidelined since his falling out with Erik ten Hag and seems to have no future with the club.
About Sancho’s Time At Club
Interestingly, Sancho has a more recent Premier League goal at Old Trafford compared to Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Antony. His last goal at the venue was in a 2-1 win over Fulham on May 28 of the previous season.
Sancho seems to be nearing a return to Dortmund, where he hopes to revive his career after a challenging stint at Manchester United.

The 23-year-old had an impressive record with Dortmund, scoring 50 goals and providing 57 assists in 137 appearances before joining Manchester United for £73 million ($101m) in 2021.
For those unfamiliar with Jadon Malik Sancho, he is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Manchester United in the Premier League.
Previously associated with Watford and Manchester City in his youth, Sancho signed his first senior contract with Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
He made a significant impact during his time with Dortmund, earning recognition in the 2018–19 Bundesliga Team of the Season. Sancho returned to England to join Manchester United in 2021, winning an EFL Cup in his second season.
