Jujutsu Kaisen Played with Its Fans Feelings a Little Too Hard, Turned Itadori’s Suffering Into a Mockery of Sukuna’s Wrath

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime, based on the manga by Gege Akutami, is currently airing. The ongoing Shibuya Incident arc, highly anticipated by fans, is being well-animated by Mappa Studio. However, for fans of Gojo, things took a turn when he was sealed in the prison realm by Kenjaku in the season 2 episode.
Unfortunately, the news isn’t great for fans and especially for the main character, Yuji Itadori. In the Shibuya Incident, Sukuna takes control of Yuji’s body and causes harm and chaos to the people of Shibuya. Yuji witnesses the pain and loss of his close allies, which takes a toll on him mentally.
He even expresses a desire to die. The series intensifies the dark theme by portraying Itadori’s suffering, turning it into a dramatic moment with an unemotional song playing as he blames and hurts himself.

A Twitter/X user (@goatoruclitjo) posted a video on social media. The video shows Yuji crying and blaming himself for the destruction in Shibuya with an unemotional song. This proves that the Jujutsu Kaisen anime really knows how to play with fans’ emotions.

However, there are fans who really liked the scene with that music because the scene was already too raw and hard to watch, with Itadori crying and suffering, and even wanting to die for Sukuna’s actions.
This scene also marks the start of Yuji’s story and upcoming choices, resembling the beginning of his journey into hardship. The chosen song also seems to mock the circumstances surrounding him.
nah the song fits perfect for me , idk why everyone is saying the song is too happy for the circumstance the song has been eerie and gloomy from the start. we dont need some dark edgy junk , the scene was raw as fuck and very hard to watch.

I like to think this scene is like the opening to Yuji's story and future actions. It's like the beginning of his journey down to misery. A song like this is clearly also mocking the situation around him. It caught me off guard, but honestly I kinda like it?
