Just When You Thought It Couldn't Be Done, the Little Black Dress Gets Reinvented—This Time in Leather

As you may have noticed, it's all about leather this season. I mean, even Lady Mary (er, Michelle Dockery) can't resist a little black leather dress. (Plus, Alexandra found some hot, hot under-$200 pieces for us.) But there is always that comfort level question—after all, most leather dresses can be a bit binding (right, Blake Lively?), but then Karlie Kloss gave us another way to wear the little black dress last night.
At the opening of the new Brooklyn Museum exhibit The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, the leggy model wore a piece by the legendary designer: a slouchy long-sleeve leather dress that, dare we say, looks pretty comfy. The silhouette is roomier at the top, and the scrunchy sleeves create a cool, irreverent, almost-sweatshirt-y detail. The discreet V-back and the above-the-knee length keep the sleek look on the modest side of things.
