Man charged after stabbing employee in neck at Huntersville 7-Eleven, police say – WSOC TV

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A man has been charged after stabbing an employee at a 7-Eleven in Huntersville Friday, police said.

Officers were called just before noon to the convenience store on Sam Furr Road in response to an assault with a deadly weapon.

Once they got to the scene, they found a victim who had been stabbed in their neck, officials said. They were taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and are in critical condition, according to police.

Authorities said Kevin Davis, 39, fled the scene and after a two-hour search, was found near a CATS Park and Ride off of Northcross Drive.

Davis was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

***UPDATE*** Today at 11:51 AM, HPD Officers responded to the 7Eleven on Sam Furr Rd in response to an assault with deadly weapon call. The victim was transported to the hospital with life threat injuries and is currently in critical condition.

Davis is being held at the Mecklenburg County jail.
