Man dies at Warm Mineral Springs Park after 'medical episode'

NORTH PORT, Fla. — Warm Mineral Springs Park is temporarily closed after a 73-year-old died of an unspecified "medical episode" Friday afternoon according to the North Port Police Department.
Police said the man died while in the water. Life-saving measures were performed but were unsuccessful.
The park is closed for the remainder of the day and through the weekend, while the investigation takes place. The park will reopen Monday, Oct. 16,
There is no threat to the public.
