Mariah Carey on Her New MAC Lipstick and How She Lives Every Day Like It's a Holiday

Few things bring us more alegría around the holidays like shimmery makeup and Mariah Carey's best hits blaring over the speakers, so you can only imagine our emoción when news broke that MAC Cosmetics and the singer were teaming up on a collaboration—just in time for gift-giving season.

Carey's MAC Beauty Icon collection kicks off with a frosty champagne-colored lipstick (called "All I Want" because what else could be more perfect?) on December 3, with the rest of the collection following in early 2016. To tide you over until then, we caught up with the pop queen to chat all things shimmery, fabulous, and holiday-themed. Listen in.

__Glam Belleza Latina:__You're rarely seen wearing a bold lip. What draws you to light-hued lipstick?

Mariah Carey: It puts the focus on my eyes. I'm better off with the eyes, I don't know why. I can do a reddish-brown or brown lip, but not a bright red. I just don't look good in it. Over the years you learn certain things that don't look good on you, and that's one of them for me.

__GBL:__How would you wear your new MAC lipstick? Did you have any requirements when you were creating it?

MC: I would wear it with a really smoky eye and maybe some contour, almost like a Brigitte Bardot-type feeling. Although hers would maybe be less shimmery, but that's what I would typically do when I wear a color like this. For me, this is perfect for the holiday season, because you can do a shimmery face but still add a lip that makes a statement. It's very winter wonderland. Everyday is a holiday with me.
