The video of a young corn seller in Benin has become an item of discussion after she proffered solutions to insecurity in the North.

Shared on LinkedIn by Francis Ngozi, the video captures the lady, identified as Eguagie Blessing, speaking articulately about fixing the security challenge in the northern region of the country.

In the 5-minutes long video, Blessing was seen roasting corn by the road where she was speaking with waiting customers (Francis and his friend).

Francis explained that Blessing was very supportive of her mother’s corn-selling business from which her education is funded.

Blessing in her argument explained why insecurity persisted in the north and what must be done to stop the menace.

She argued that the lack of education in the region meant that an average northern child is a tool for religious extremism and insurgency.

According to Blessing, a deeper understanding of the problems would reveal that the northern child is not as irrational and impulsive as the media portray them to be.

In her words, “A man that is not educated, it is very easy for you to trap that man.

A man that is not educated can easily believe anything because he does not have the ability to research.

She noted that politicians use the lack of education as a weapon to control the minds of the northern child.

She said, “If you’re able to control a man’s mind, you can inevitably control his body”

Blessing is of the opinion that addressing the high rate of out-of-school children in the North compared to the South is imperative to fixing the problem of insecurity.

She believes that illiteracy breeds poverty which results in an insecure society.

According to her, “This lack of education is the major thing that is breeding poverty.”

In another news, David Adeleke, frontrunner of the 30 billion gang is searching for a young boy who could not further his education since 2021 due to lack of funds, despite scoring A1 in all his O-level subjects.

The young musician, popularly called Davido made this statement via Twitter where he shared a picture of a blog article about the boy, asking if anyone had information about the boy’s location so he can find him.

“Who can please find this boy for me??” he asked on the micro-blogging platform.
