Where does Edwin Castro live now?

The recipient of the largest Powerball jackpot in America now resides in an opulent hilltop mansion nestled in Los Angeles' prestigious Bel Air neighborhood, according to CBS Los Angeles

Edwin Castro, who clinched the jackpot in November, opted for a lump sum payment amounting to a staggering $997.6 million.

Prior to acquiring this lavish residence, Castro had already made substantial real estate investments, including a $25.5 million Hollywood Hills home and a $4 million Altadena property.

Despite the mansion's opulence, it accounts for less than 3% of Castro's total winnings from the historic Powerball jackpot.

Castro's winning ticket was valued at an astounding $1.9 billion, and he opted to receive a lump sum payment of $997.6 million instead of the 30 annual payments option.

This remarkable jackpot was not only the largest ever for Powerball but also the largest in US lottery history.
