My Hero Academia chapter 417 was recently released and it has shaken the My Hero Academia fans. A significant portion of the chapter focused on the Shimura family, as Shigaraki was subjected to abuse by his father for the mere desire to model himself after a hero. Deku witnessed all of this, with Nana Shimura supporting him throughout.

At last, Nana has the opportunity to apologize to her son Kotaro, which culminates in a heartwarming moment of atonement. That was not, however, the chapter’s most fascinating point. In the same chapter, Deku ultimately defeats Shigaraki’s defenses, but in the process, the last traces of the One For All users are taken away.

The only person remaining in the dismal vestige realm is Nana Shimura, who finds herself alone. Therefore it can be said that Deku all the other powers and the vestiges in the process of breaking Shigaraki’s defense. This might result in Deku completely disregarding One for All’s legacy at the hands of the protagonist.

Deku Destroys One for All Vestiges to Break Shigaraki’s Defense

In chapter 417 of My Hero Academia, Deku attempted to force all of the One For All remnants into Shigaraki to break his defense, leaving just Nana Shimura with Izuku. Deku gave Shigaraki a single blow that moved nearly all of the remnants to him. As he entered his memories, Deku was seen in Shigaraki’s past, and he was even an active participant.

Later on, Nana’s vestige is similarly absorbed immediately after she apologizes to Kotaro and Tenko, effectively erasing the leaden mass that contains Shigaraki’s unpleasant memories. But Deku might end up essentially helpless. All the quirks that Deku learned throughout the series are also allegedly lost.

The unclear status of One For All raises questions about how the fight against Shigaraki will play out in the long run because it could put Deku in mortal danger if the war continues after the previous users’ quirk elements are lost.

Deku Might Disregard One for All’s Legacy

As recent events hint that Deku may have finally given up all of his powers to Shigaraki, the story of Deku in My Hero Academia is drawing swiftly to a contentious close. Slowly but surely, all of these unique quirks that gave Deku extraordinary strength changed the game and made it possible for him to safely harness the force of One For All.

Although Shigaraki will be unable to employ One For All’s quirks as a result of this, it has also harmed One For All’s legacy. One For All is one of the most powerful Quirks seen in My Hero Academia. It was introduced by All Might and was later passed on to Izuku Midoria who wanted to save people with a smile.

The One For All is an outstanding ability created alone by All For One himself for his brother but it later became the opposing power and created a legacy of its own, which was supposed to be honored by Deku. Although he did earn the respect of its previous vestiges, losing them all might not work in the favor of either Deku or One for All.
