GALLERY: Rays Summer Concert Series 2010Here is the information from the Rays press release regarding the first five acts:John Fogerty - April 24, Rays vs. Toronto Blue Jays, 6:10 p.m. Grammy-winning, chart-topping solo artist John Fogerty is recognized for his ability to capture the sounds of music styles from blues to country to Southern rock 'n' roll.  As lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), Fogerty was famous for such hits as "Susie Q," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Bad Moon Rising," "Down on the Corner" and "Proud Mary."  As a member of CCR, Fogerty was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.  His solo career began in 1973 and featured singles "Centerfield" and "The Old Man Down the Road." ZZ Top - May 1, Rays vs. Kansas City Royals, 6:10 p.m.   These Rock and Roll Hall of Famers began recording in 1969 in Houston.  Known for their trademark sunglasses, black leather outfits and chest-length beards, ZZ Top embodies the spirit of blues rock in America.  With Billboard hits such as "Cheap Sunglasses," "Legs," "Sharp Dressed Man" and "LaGrange," these rock 'n' roll icons have paved the way for future generations.  The timeless trio was featured on the 2008 finale of American Idol performing their hit single "Sharp Dressed Man."   Nelly - May 15, Rays vs. Seattle Mariners, 4:10 p.m.   Actor, fashion designer, amateur baseball player and Grammy Award-winning hip-hop megastar are all labels that describe St. Louis recording artist Nelly.  Beginning his illustrious career with the St. Lunatics, Nelly became famous for his unforgettable hooks and schoolyard lyrics heard in singles such as "Midwest Swing." His solo career has since launched him to superstar status with mega hits such as "Country Grammar," "Hot in Herre" and "Batter Up." Daryl Hall and John Oates - May 29, Rays vs. Chicago White Sox, 7:10 p.m. Seven-time platinum recording artists Hall and Oates are credited for being the inventors of the music genre rock 'n' soul.  Daryl Hall and John Oates first met while attending Temple University and have been unstoppable ever since.  The duo is best known for their six No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 including such singles as "I Can't Go for That," "Private Eyes," "Maneater," "Sara Smile," "You Make My Dreams" and "Rich Girl."  The dynamic twosome boasts the honor of being 2003 inductees into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The Go-Go's - July 10, Rays vs. Cleveland Indians, 7:10 p.m. The Go-Go's are a multi-platinum, all-female American rock band formed in 1978.  The popular foursome are known for hits such as "Our Lips Are Sealed," "Vacation" and "Head Over Heels."  The group boasts five U.S. Top 40 hits and their first album sold over 3 million copies reaching double platinum status in the early 1980s.  Together again in 2010 this famous group is making Tropicana Field a stop on their reunion tour./>
