I think they’re just made for better golfers, perhaps golfers with more feel as opposed to my hit and hope style

Will also depend on what ball you use. I used to have a standard Odyssey insert putter and found it a little soft when using a Pro v1 or similar premium ball. The TP5x used to work better with it, but I didn't like the ball elsewhere.
I can imagine a super soft face would be even worse with a Pro v1.
