When Is The Festival of Colors Event?

The Pokemon GO Festival of Colors event kicks off on Tuesday, March 15, at 10:00 am local time and will run through Sunday, March 20, at 8:00 pm local time.

This event introduces the Alolan Pokemon known as Ocorio, who comes in four different forms that will differ depending on which region you are located. In addition, Lure Modules will be lasting for three hours during the event, so that should help with catching Pokemon for the new Collection Challenge.

Festival of Colors Collection Challenge

With the Festival of Colors event comes a brand new Collection Challenge, which is just like the ones we have seen in the past.

To complete the Collection Challenge, you will have to find and capture eight different Pokemon during the event itself, with the newly added Oricorio being a required catch and reward as well.

The full list of Pokemon that you will need to catch to complete the Festival of Colors Collection Challenge are as follows:

  • Slugma
  • Trapinch
  • Drowzee
  • Turtwig
  • Horsea
  • Taillow
  • Gligar
  • Oricorio

For completing this Collection Challenge, you will be rewarded with 20,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and an Oricorio encounter that will depend on your region.

Make sure to go out and catch these Pokemon during the Festival of Lights event, as this Collection Challenge will only be available for a limited time.
