Pokemon GO Holidays Part 2 Friendship Challenge Timed Research

Pokemon GO is celebrating the season with the special Holiday Event that kicked off last week and now Part 2 of the event has arrived and with it comes the Friendship Challenge Timed Research.

One of the more controversial events in Pokemon GO was last year’s Galarian Mr. Mime focused event where it was added to the game

This was due to the fact it was gated behind an expensive paywall of $7.99, but now this latest event is arriving with the ability to get two Galarian Mr. Mimes entirely for free.

When Is the Holidays Part 2 Event?

The Pokemon GO Holidays Event began last week with a lot of content, but Part 2 is starting to kick off on Thursday, December 23 at 10:00 am local time and will run through Friday, December 31 at 8:00 pm local time.

During this time, the festivities for the Holiday event as a whole will be going on, along with these new elements of Part 2 including two new Timed Research.

Pokemon GO Holidays Friendship Challenge Timed Research Tasks and Rewards

Along with the accompanying Catch Challenge Timed Research that is currently going on, this Timed Research is only one step. However, there are more than the traditional number of tasks in the one step, which have been provided below by LeekDuck.

Step 1

• Send 5 Gifts to friends – Holiday Pikachu encounter
• Trade 3 Pokemon with a friend – Vanillite encounter
• Send 25 Gifts to friends – Holiday Delibird encounter
• Send Gifts 3 Days in a row – Unknown
• Make a new friend – 3x Silver Pinap Berries

As you can see, this is definitely one of the shortest Timed Research we’ve seen in Pokemon GO. The good thing is that it is full of some interesting encounters and gives you the free Galarian Mr. Mime after the controversial event last year.
