Recently got fitted for Mizuno MP5, advice please!

I recently went to get fitted for Mizuno MP5 irons. Got a couple of suggestions with the caveat that I won't notice much difference from my MP64s however I want new irons and mine look tired so I'm choosing to ignore that piece of info!

Fitting was for project x 6.5 shafts and an inch longer shafts, 1 degrees strong.

My questions for those in the know before I make up my mind;

Has anyone made the move from 64s to 5s? If so how did you find it? Are they harder to use?

I liked the project x shafts but are they generally higher launching than x100s? They looked higher when playing them. Has anyone tried project x 7.0? I wonder if they would work better for me.

My current clubs are 1 degree strong. Would going 2 degrees really make much difference to launch angle? Also would the extra degree really increase distance by much?

Are the longer irons in the MP5s hard to hit?

I know you shouldn't leave a fitting with so many questions however I couldn't hit a ball for the first 40 minutes for some obscure reason, think I was trying to smash them so feel like I didn't cover everything I wanted to!
