Biography

Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha, known as Rita Dominic, was born on July 12, 1975, in Mbaise, Imo State.

Rita Dominic is the youngest of four children. Her family is of the Royal Nwaturuocha family of Mbaise, a local government area in Imo state.

Her late parents worked in the healthcare sector; her father was a medical doctor while her mother was a nurse.

Rita Dominic had her secondary education at the prestigious Federal Government College in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, before attending the University of Port Harcourt and earning a BA (Honours) Degree in Theatre Arts in 1999.

Career

Rita Dominic began acting as a child in Imo State, appearing in school plays and children’s television shows.

She began acting when she was in high school and was a member of her school’s drama club.

She announced her engagement to her heartthrob Fidelis Anosike, a publisher at the Daily Times, on April 5, 2022. Their marriage was slated for 18 and 19 of the same month.
