Samuel Garner Affleck was born on February 27, 2012, in Santa Monica, California, the United States of America. He is the youngest child of American actor, director, and producer Ben Affleck, and his former wife, Jennifer Garner.

The younger Affleck has two older sisters, Violet and Seraphina, and the family has always been very close-knit. Affleck and Garner have both spoken about how much they enjoy spending time with their children, and they have often been photographed together as a family.

The 11-year-old Affleck is the youngest of three children, with two older sisters named Violet Anne and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth.

His paternal grandparents are Timothy Byers Affleck and Christine Anne Boldt and his maternal grandparents are William John Garner and Patricia Ann English.
