INDIANAPOLIS — Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that displaced seven people at a south Indianapolis apartment complex Monday evening.
In a post on social media, IFD said an occupant of an apartment told firefighters she heard a loud pop before seeing fire on top of her stove. She and her son evacuated safely as the fire eventually pushed through a common attic.
Crews brought the fire under control in just over 20 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
