When equipping Emblem Rings on your units, you want to ensure that they work well together. Emblem Rings provide stats, skills, and abilities that can enhance your unit's existing power or add a new dimension entirely. Most of the time, you want to stack benefits: give a high Dex unit an Emblem Ring that grants more Dex.

Stacking power can create a synergy between the unit and the ring, boosting both of their powers. All Emblem Rings will empower your units, but there are ideal candidates for each match. Equip your Emblem Rings on these units to see the best results in battle.

12 Eirika - Fogado

FE Engage Fogado Eirika

Fogado is a well-rounded unit. He can branch heavily into bow attacks or can leverage his Cavalry status for more of a hit-and-run melee strategy. Unlike Alcryst, who you never want near the frontline, Fogado can weave in and out of battle with ease.

Eirika’s Emblem Ring pairs well with Fogado because of its extra damage and alternating skills. Night and Day allows Eirika’s Emblem Ring to shift between active abilities, which is perfect for a versatile unit like Fogado. Whether you need to be more offensive or defensive, Fogado and Eirika can handle any situation.

11 Roy - Diamant

FE Engage Diamant Roy

Roy is one of the best Emblem Rings for tanks, as it provides HP, Str, Res, and fantastic skills. Hold Out is the best Emblem skill that a tank can have, allowing that unit to survive combat regardless of damage taken (so long as they started the round above 20% HP). For a Backup unit like Diamant, this is perfect.

Backup units want to get to the frontline and stay there. They can deal tremendous damage through Chain Attacks and soak incoming damage for the team. Diamant and Roy are a perfect match as they share this same goal.

10 Lucina - Vander

FE Engage Vander Lucina

Lucina is a tank unit’s companion, as her skills provide extra teamwork on the front. All for One is Lucina’s active skill that causes all allies within 2 spaces to Chain Attack a target. In addition, her passive skill Dual Strike provides the Backup trait to its wearer.

For a frontliner like Vander, these skills are perfect. Allowing him to rally his allies, Lucina’s benefits provide him with far more damage. Lucina’s other skill Bonded Shield also gains a Type Bonus from Cavalry units, causing Vander to prevent all first attacks on adjacent allies.

9 Corrin - Zelkov

FE Engage Zelkov Corrin

The Emblem Ring Corrin is best used by a Theif. High in damage but low in HP, Theives get up close to the enemy without expecting to take heavy damage. Thieves rely on Avoidance and enemy disruption, two of Corrin’s strong suits.

Zelkov’s personal skill, Not *Quite*, inflicts Hit-10 on attacking foes. This synergizes well with Corrin’s Dragon Vein, a skill that creates a fog providing Avoidance. Zelkov can make good use of Corrin’s abilities to increase his survivability, decrease incoming, and disrupt the enemy’s plans.

8 Ike - Chloe

FE Engage Chloe Ike

Chloe is a high Movement flyer that can’t take a lot of damage. Having an Emblem Ring that provides some protection is perfect for a unit like Chloe. Ike’s Emblem skill Laguz Friend allows the wearer to take 50% less damage but lowers their Avo to 0.

When given a chance to reduce damage by 50%, the reduction in Avo doesn’t matter much. Since Chloe is a lance user, she needs to dive into battle but can’t take much damage. When you equip her with Ike’s Emblem Ring, Chloe can stay on the frontline longer and take advantage of Ike’s skill Great Aether.

7 Lyn - Alcryst

FE Engage Alcryst Lyn

Alcryst and Lyn are both bow-wielding heroes that can quickly eliminate the enemy. Lyn’s Emblem Ring is a great match for Alcryst because it provides the perfect Combat and Basic Stats as well as very powerful skills for Alcryst to use.

Astra Storm launches 5 bow attacks at 30% damage to any unit within the range of 10 spaces. When used by a Covert unit, that distance is increased to a range of 20. The bow synergy and Covert Type Bonus make an Alcryst Astra Storm one of the best active Emblem Skills in the game.

6 Micaiah - Jean

FE Engage Jean Micaiah

Jean is best played as a healer who stays out of the line of danger. His personal skill Expertise grants him enhanced stat growth when leveling up, but he needs to stay alive in order to take advantage of it. Equipping the Emblem Ring Micaiah is perfect for a backline healer like Jean.

Micaiah’s skill Augment provides staff range +5, area of effect +1, and a Type Bonus to Jean of +20% HP healed. Not only does this allow Jean to stay father back, but it also provides him extra potency while healing.

5 Leif - Yunaka

FE Engage Yunaka Leif

Leif is best paired with a Covert unit, one that takes advantage of his skill bonuses. When equipped on a Covert unit, Leif’s skill Adaptable grants Avo+20, and Quadruple Hit causes foes to drop 1,000G. Yunaka’s skill, Trained to Kill, pairs well with Leif’s skills, providing her with Avo, Crit, and the potential to take less damage.

Covert units look for opportunities to gain the terrain advantage and hit from the shadows. While Leif can be paired with any Covert unit, Yunaka’s personal stats make her the best candidate the wear the ring.

4 Byleth - Anna

FE Engage Anna Byleth

Anna is the perfect gold-farming unit, and Byleth enhances her ability to execute. Make a Killing provides Anna with 500G when she defeats an enemy (trigged by %=Lck). Byleth’s ring increases Lck by a very large amount while also granting skills that increase battle effectiveness.

Divine Pulse, granted by Byleth’s Emblem Ring, turns a missed attack into a hit (higher % chance with Lck). And when Anna can’t eliminate an enemy, she can boost her allies with Byleth’s Instruct or Goddess Dance abilities. Whether Anna is Making a Killing or Instructing others, Byleth’s Emblem Ring is a huge boon to her productivity.

3 Sigurd - Alfred

FE Engage Alfred Sigurd

High Movement stats can put units in advantageous positions on the battlefield, and no one is more mobile than Alfred, equipped with Sigurd’s Emblem Ring. Sigurd’s bonuses leverage Alfred’s strengths and vice-versa. Gallop provides additional movement to Cavalry units, while Momentum grants attack damage for each space moved.

Alfred’s high Dex and Def make Sigurd’s attacks do extra damage while allowing him to tank incoming damage. With Sigurd’s Emblem Ring equipped, Alfred can move even more freely around the battlefield and hone his skills with a lance.

2 Celica - Celine

FE Engage Celine Celica

Celica’s Emblem Ring turns Celine into the strongest battlemage the game can have. Celine gains extra benefits from Celica’s Emblem Ring over other units. With Warp Ragnarok allowing her to move freely around the battlefield and Holy Stance reflecting damage back at attackers, Celica’s bonuses are offensively minded.

Combined with Celine’s already high magic damage stats, Celica and Celine ascend to an even higher level together. Celica’s skill Resonance grants bonus damage to tome users, and Mystical units take advantage of Echo’s bonus attacks. This pair can melt enemies, heal allies, and control the battlefield with ease.

1 Marth - Alear

FE Engage Alear Marth-1

Alear is the most powerful unit, and Marth is the most powerful Emblem Ring; these two are a perfect match. Marth’s ring adds Strength, Dexterity, and Speed base stats as well as special sword attacks to use while Engaged. When attacking with Marth’s Falchion as Alear, the Dragon class makes the attack extra Effective.

Marth’s skills, Divine Speed and Lodestar Rush are also enhanced when used by Alear. Divine Speed turns damage into healed HP, and Lodestar Rush gets +2 attacks. If you’re looking to make the most overpowered unit in the game, pair Marth and Alear together and watch the destruction.
