“This is seriously amazing!”: Helldivers 2’s Johan Pilestedt is Drooling Over the Latest Malevelon Creek Cinematic Experience

Helldivers 2 has become one of the most popular titles in the current scenario. Gamers thoroughly enjoy the game concept and its massively multiplayer and co-op offerings. The game also recently added planetary hazards, which has turned up the ante regarding risk and survival.
The game was released for PlayStation 5 and PC. Arrowhead Game Studios developed the game. The studio’s CEO, Johan Pilestedt, recently took to X, the popular social media platform, and appreciated a cinematic edit based on gameplay footage a player created.
Helldivers 2 player-made cinematic is a visual delight
As stated earlier, Pilestedt took to X and praised a cinematic film inside Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2. The cinematic is titled “TAKE BACK MALEVELON CREEK” and can be viewed below. The cinematic was created by a YouTuber going by the handle TacoNightShenanigans.

The cinematic has an incredibly intense background score and is filled with shots of various battalions of Helldivers fighting against hordes of bugs and other mechanical enemies. The video has over 80,000 views on YouTube, which is a fantastic number considering that the YouTube channel that posted it has only close to one thousand subscribers.

While the title is an Indie one, meaning that a AAA studio with a mammoth budget didn’t develop or publish this title, its quality speaks for itself. It can be seen throughout the cinematic link above. It is a big deal for the game studio’s CEO to appreciate one’s cinematic work filmed inside the game. Seeing the cinematic edit, which is likely to have been recorded on PC as the platform is mod-friendly, a PlayStation 5 player asked the Arrowhead Games Studios’ CEO to implement a native photo mode for the console:
