The Italian Parliament unveiled a bill demanding the grand exhibition of crucifixes in public buildings in 2018. This proposed legislation not only suggested imposing hefty fines of up to $977 upon those who did not comply. It was meant to be debated in both the Chamber and Senate. However, Meloni, on becoming the new prime minister, turned the bill into law. In this context, Tate tweeted, "I’m beginning to like Italy’s new prime minister."
