Chelsea were 2-0 winners over visiting Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of their round of 16 clash in the UEFA Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Chelsea started brightly, and Joao Felix forced a save from Alexander Meyer, who manned the Dortmund post in place of unfit Gregor Kobel.

As the first half continued, Dortmund saw more of the ball but could not trouble Chelsea. The Bundesliga side saw a beautifully curled free-kick from Marco Reus palmed to safety by Kepa Arizabalaga in the Chelsea goal.
The Blues then threatened the Dortmund goal, with Kai Havertz connecting with his shin to send the ball crashing off the post.
The deadlock was broken in the 43rd minute through Raheem Sterling to give Chelsea the lead on the night and level the aggregate score at 1-1.
The goal means Sterling is now the second-highest-scoring English player in the Champions League with 27 goals. He is second to Wayne Rooney’s 30.
Chelsea got an opportunity to double their lead in the 47th minute after Marius Wolf handled the ball in his box. Havertz stepped up to take the kick but missed as the ball went off the post.
However, the German forward got a second chance after VAR called for the kick to be retaken. He sent Meyer the wrong way to double the Graham Potter-turored side’s lead and put them ahead on aggregate.
Dortmund tried hard to level the scores, but it was not to be, as the Chelsea defence remained resolute and ensured they knocked out the visiting Germans on the night.

The Blues are now in the quarter-final of the competition.
Benfica vs Club Brugge
Benfica massacred the visiting Belgian team to pile pressure on coach Scott Parker. The match ended 5-1 on the night and 7-1 on aggregate.
Rafa Silva opened the scoring for the Portuguese giants in the 38th minute before Goncalo Ramos doubled their lead in the second minute of first-half added time.
Ramos got his second of the night in the 57th minute, and Joao Mario scored a penalty in the 71st minute to make it four.
David Neres put the final nail in the coffin in the 77th minute before Bjorn Meijer scored a consolation for Brugge in the 87th minute.
Benfica had beaten Club Brugge 2-0 at home in the first leg making the aggregate 7-1, with Parker’s fate at the club hanging in the balance.
Benfica have now scored two or more goals in 17 of their 19 home games this season in all competitions.
