Weapon Blueprints
Before we jump into the basic guns, it’s important to note that you may have some special weapon blueprints unlocked from the Season 6 Battle Pass. Make sure you’re using your blueprints whenever possible as these will have attachments that you haven’t actually unlocked yet at the lower levels.
STG44 (Assault Rifle)
The STG44 is one of the first Assault Rifles you’ll unlock in Call of Duty: Vangaurd and it’s such a solid choice of weapon you could end up using it when you’re at the higher levels too.
It’s an easy weapon to use and boasts great damage at close, mid, and long-range. The recoil is also easy to control and will only get easier to use as you level up and unlock attachments for it.
MP40 (Sub Machine Gun)
Another weapon available early on in Vangaurd is the classic MP49 SMG. Of course, as this is an SMG it won’t perform as well at long-range engagements, but for smaller maps you’ll have great mobility, speed, and accuracy.
The MP40 is another weapon that will only get better as you unlock more attachments, even being able to unlock a 60 round drum.
M1928 (Sub Machine Gun)
The M1928 won’t be as popular as the MP40 that’s for sure, as it boasts less firepower and accuracy. However, it’s always good to mix things up. The M1928 has an amazing rate of fire and a much higher ammo capacity than other SMGs.
You’ll want to use this one at close range as it doesn’t perform as well at longer range engagements, but its quick-fire rate means it can melt an enemy quickly if they’re close enough.
Automaton (Assault Rifle)
Once you’ve worked your way up the rankings a little, you’ll unlock the Automaton Assault Rifle. This could turn out to be another fan favourite in Call of Duty: Vanguard as it boasts great accuracy, low recoil, and has decent mobility.
We recommend using the Automaton as soon as possible and unlocking some attachments to make it even better.
