Fortnite and Epic have just announced another artist will be joining them, the rapper Emicida, here’s everything we know on the artist and how to access his Soundwave Series.
Fortnite is holding yet another huge music collab show, and this time is going for an even more cosmopolitan choice by adding a new Soundwave Series with Emicida, a rapper and artist from Brazil.
Who is Emicida, the newest artist to join Fortnite?
Emicida is one of the biggest rappers and hip-hop singers in Brazil right now. He started releasing mixtapes in 2009, and is now a driving force in music, fashion, literature, and many other projects and themes under the umbrella of Laboratório Fantasma, a company managing his career.
In Brazil, like in the rest of the world, rap and hip-hop find their roots in social issues, and Emicida is an involved writer, entrepreneur, presenter, and contemporary thinker. His most recent work, the studio project AmarElo (2019), won a Latin Grammy Award, and had a launch show at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo.
If you’d like to learn even more about Emicida, you should check out the AmarElo – It’s All for Yesterday documentary available worldwide on Netflix. You can also listen to most of Emicida’s music on his YouTube channel with over 1.6 million subscribers.
