SMYRNA, GEORGIA: Majesty Williams, a 6-year-old girl from Smyrna, Georgia, was found alive in Mexico two years after she disappeared from her father, James Williams' Georgia home. Her non-custodial mother, Andrea McCord, has been accused of kidnapping the child during a supervised visit in 2021 and arrested on charges of interference with child custody alongside her now-boyfriend, Custodio Guerra.

"With the help of new investigative technologies and SPD detectives that NEVER gave up, a young child was reunited today with the custodial parent," the Smyrna Police Department said in a Facebook post on Sunday, July 16. "Tonight, a baby girl was reunited with her daddy," the statement added. Andrea was reportedly extradited to the US and booked into Cobb County Jail.

What is known about Majesty Williams?

Majesty is a 6-year-old girl who was just 4 years old when she was abducted by her biological but non-custodial mother, Andrea, from her father, James' home on April 1, 2021. The latter told authorities that Andrea and Majesty were spending time together inside the house when he went to work on his yard. However, the girl and her mother were both missing when he returned.

James told authorities that Andrea later texted him to tell him that his car was at a nearby grocery store with the keys under the seat. Nearly two years after Majesty's disappearance, police tracked down Andrea and Custodio in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi and eventually found the child living with her mother in Mexico. Authorities mentioned that Majesty was found safe and reunited with her father following her mother's arrest.
