Work starts on new Wesley Chapel outlet mall

Wesley Chapel, Florida -- Ground was broken on Friday morning for Tampa Premium Outlets, which will have more than 110 retailers.
The mall is scheduled to open in October at the junction of Interstate 75 and State Road 56.
Simon Premium Outlets, which is building the mall, said the outlets will offer a mix of stores, including apparel and shoes, fashion accessories, leather goods, home furnishings, and specialty items. There will also be a food pavilion.
The mall said that the construction will create 300 to 500 jobs and the finished mall will create more than 800 full-time and part-time retail jobs.
